First long-play effort by this trio, from 1994. Somewhat rougher than their other records, with more extended drift haze than agitated psychedelia. Falling loosely into the weirdly morphing "post-rock" universe, Doldrums use loosely defined blocks of sound to essay droning soundscapes, pastoral folk/psych, hypnotic jams, etc. 2 vocals, 3 instrumentals, and one lawnmower. 12" is limited and has an understated black and white sleeve, while the CD has some nice full color wildlife shots. 5 tracks, 52 minutes (all tracks on both formats), EP price.
