Ordering Help:

Note: The new shopping cart uses Javascript. If you have javascript disabled, you won't be able to see the cart (though you can still use the catalog). Note to check/money order users - you can build an order with the cart, go to checkout, and print it out after entering your info. I will miss your scribbled orders on the backs of pages from the "Far Side" calendar, but....

The Shopping Cart: It's amazingly simple, actually, you click on "add" at the bottom of each description, and it throws the item into your cart. The cart stays with you as you browse. To delete an item, click on it (in the cart) and then click remove. You can also click "remove all" and.....the cart will be emptied!!!!

Checkout/Review Order: Clicking checkout will take you to a page where you can review your order before moving ahead with the process. Make sure you've got your formats right. If you want to make changes, click "Go Back" and you'll be taken back to the last item you looked at in the catalog and you can make changes to your order from there. If you're settled on your choices, click "Continue."

Billing: After you choose "Continue" from the review page, you'll get transferred to the secure order form - you may receive an alert that the site security certificate does not match the name of the site - that's because we're using our hosting company's certificate. Click yes (or continue) to go ahead. Fill in your billing address, and your shipping address where different.

Shipping: Select your shipping method based on your location. Shipping is automatically calculated based on weight. US shipping is via First Class/Priority Mail, Overseas shipping via Airmail. We can accommodate special requests such as surface mail, registered, insured, etc, but please email us if you want to do that. If you are outside the USA and want to save postage costs by having us send your CD's without the cases, please note it in the comments column and we'll adjust your shipping accordingly when we actually bill your order. When you're done, click "Continue" at the bottom of the page.

Payment: Please double check your address information and choose a payment option.

Print & Mail/Fax: Choose print for a neatly formatted page which you can mail or fax. Our address is right on there. We accept check and money orders payable on US Banks. Make payments out to VHF. You can send cash if you must, but we can't be responsible if it disappears along the way. You can also send us your credit card info in the mail if you'd rather.

Credit cards: We accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Your CC info is stored on our secure server and retrieved by us over a password-protected, secure connection for processing in the SECRET VHF MANUAL PROCESSING LAB (a terminal on top of a bookcase in the basement). Your info is not forwarded anywhere by email nor stored online. Your card will not be charged until the order is shipped. Enter your CC info in the form and click "Continue" (make sure you choose the card type from the menu). You'll receive an email confirming your order. If you see any problems, please email us immediately and we'll sort it out.

Paypal: Paypal to gravsco@aol.com - make sure you calculate your shipping via the shopping cart first! (or email us for a total)

Q: Do you accept demo tapes?
A: Sure, but before you send it, you should understand our demo audition process (this is all totally serious). First, your package is examined at the post office while I'm standing over the trash can - this is to weed out punk rock stuff (probably not you, since you're reading this and will know we're not a harDCore label). Demos which make it out of the post office are transferred to our DEMO STAGING AREA (the back sear of my car). Demos in the staging area typically age for 3-4 weeks until either a) a hideous traffic jam on the way to work inspires me to root around to see what's back there or b) they roll off the back seat and under the passenger seat, where our trusty Honda's lousy alignment will cause them to creep forward over a period of weeks. In the case of b), these demos are usually lost until stepped on by a passenger, who may throw it in the deck. Sometimes this person is VVGG, and he doesn't like anything. After I listen to your demo, I put it on the front seat, intending to take it into the office and dash off an email to you. Sometimes packages in the note-to-be-emailed stash slip thru this weird gap in between the seat base and seat back and end up on the floor, where they are usually banished to the fate described in b) above. Finally your demo enters the hallowed sancutary of my crappy basement office.
