A Klang Family contingent descends on Columbia, Mo., this weekend for the True/False film fest, which is to include music from Pelt, the Spiral Joy Band, the Black Twig Pickers and Patrick Best — all perhaps in multiple lineups (even Patrick’s supposed solo turn) as travelers come and go during the many short sets that are planned.

Most of the music is quarter-hour-or-so blasts wrapped around the showing of films (although apparently, alas, not *during* the showings), with one slightly longer set for the Spiral Joy Band on Saturday night.

Here’s what we think we’re doing — note that this differs a bit from at least one version of the “official” schedule:

* on Friday, Feb.27, Twigs play one set at 9:30 p.m. at the Forrest Theatre (and we’ll forgive you if you’d rather be over at The Blue Note listening to Excene Cervanka).

* on Saturday, Feb. 28, Twigs are at the Blue Note at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., then Pelt is at the Blue Note at 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Then Spiral Joy Band is somewhere in the mix during the 8 p.m.-11 p.m., four-band showcase at the Cherry Street Artisan.

* on Sunday, March 1, Patrick Best is at the Blue Note at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., quite possibly in Spiral Joy duo mode.

Got it? Great. See you there –
